When is the PYO Dahlia Patch Open?
Our PYO dahlia picking season runs from mid August through to the first autumn frosts (usually early October). Opening days and times will be posted on our website and social media – keep an eye out for updates before you visit, and please make sure you book your entry in advance as places are limited for each session to ensure there are plenty of stems for your visit.

How it Works

Book your place via our website. Places are limited so please do book. Tap the floating green “book event tickets” button to see available times and dates, and to book.

Bring your own bucket (you can borrow some snips for cutting from us) and head into the patch

Choose your favourites – pick as many stems as you would like to take home with you.
- Pay for stems not included in your entry with card or with cash

Entry only: £4.00 per person (under 5s go free)

Entry plus 10 dahlia stems: £18 per person
- Entry plus 25 dahlia stems: £40 per person
- Additional Dahlias or Sunflowers: £2.00 each
- Cosmos: £1 per stem

Make a Day of It
Your visit doesn’t have to end in the flower field! Our farm café is open daily serving locally sourced, homemade breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, cakes and coffee. We also have a rustic outdoor play area for children and scenic spots to enjoy the countryside.
Hand-tied Dahlia Bouquet Workshops
We have a number of hand-tied dahlia bouquet workshops planned throughout August and September, where your ticket includes entry to our PYO dahlia patch, lots of beautiful blooms and help and guidance of selecting your blooms and making a simple, hand-tied dahlia bouquet to take home. Bennetts Willow Barn is on the edge of Worcester, in the heart of our fifth-generation family dairy farm, Bennetts Farms. Free parking is available, and we’re also a short walk from the River Severn at the Diglis foot bridge.

Tips for Your Visit

Dahlias last longest if you put them straight into water, so bring a bucket or vase with some water in for traveling home

Dahlias for your wedding
Homegrown dahlias and other flowers freshly picked from our on-the-farm flower patch here at Bennetts Willow Barn, perfect for your wedding whether you are getting married here or elsewhere in Worcestershire, from mid August to early October.

Two simple wedding dahlia options to choose from:
1. DIY stems:
£2 per stem (or just £1.80 for Bennetts Willow Barn wedding couples) inclusive of VAT
Flowers are picked the night before your collection day and stored in the fridge to keep them cool and fresh. You collect them on the day before or morning of your wedding between 9:30am & 3:30pm. Minimum 50 stem order please.
2. Mini bud vases
Available exclusively to Bennetts Willow Barn wedding couples. £25 for 3x mini bud vases on each trestle table:
Flowers are picked by us and arranged on your tables in mini bud vases on the day of your wedding. We supply & clear away the bud vases for you. Each mini bud vase will include 3 stems, & there will be 3 mini bud vases on each trestle table. This totals 9 stems per trestle table.
